  • Spring National Training Day - Scanner personality & highly sensitive person

    "I realized after many years in my professional career what my career booster was: I loved to work. I loved to have impact and be part of a successful team and I loved to be close to the center of power. What made me successful was the fact that I am a scanner personality and a highly sensitive person.''

    Training Content:

    An administrative professional is often called ‘the role with no job description’ because the responsibilities can vary so much. An assistant supporting an executive or a team needs to be prepared to expect the unexpected.

    Words to describe the person behind the role are often versatility, universality, adaptability, improvisation, intuition, and many more. Successful Administrative Professionals are fast and pro-active thinkers, love diversified challenges and situations and orchestrate their ‘dashboard’ with sovereignty, intuition and ease.

    During the IMA Training Day, Katrin Stigge will share the gifts, talents and challenges of scanner personalities and highly sensitive persons. She will take us through the science behind these personalities and will introduce two meaningful tools which will raise self-awareness and self-esteem, and will create a foundation for next steps in your professional career. A highly interactive workshop followed by a Q&A session is awaiting us.

    Bio Katrin Stigge:

    Katrin Stigge started her professional career as an Executive Assistant in an International Law Firm, later in the food, then fashion industry. In 2000, she joined a Corporate Company and started her HR career and became a successful leader with a proven track record in change management, learning, D&I and culture. Today, she has her own company supporting multi-talented individuals, teams and companies.

  • Learning facilitated by horses – Bring out your Inner Strength

    In collaboration with IMA Italy, our PR Officer Anouk Silvestrini, who is also coach and trainer, proposed a one-day workshop on the theme Bring out your Inner Strength. It was held in Circolo ippico La Fonte in San Salvatore Monferrato, Italy. Particular thanks go to Michela Luoni for bringing people together, Silvia Salomon, IMA Italy’s Chairman for the top class organization, Nadia Inveraldi for her sweet welcome, her wonderful place and fantastic horses and to all the participants, Beatrice, Silvia, Selvaggia, Silvia e Michela for your total commitment during this very special day. You really showed how strong you are – well done Ladies!

    Story Telling - a magical tool for communications?

    Storytelling is a Buzzword that can be found in all kind of context. The reader might get the impression that storytelling is a magical tool that can be used in any situation to solve communication problems.

    Ancilla Schmidhauser took us on a journey and introduced the world of stories. What exactly is a story, why is it functioning, how is a story built, where can stories be found and how can they be used? We got practical tools for our daily work.

    At the end of the workshop we knew, how to bring ourself to the next level in communicating and acting in our business and private role. We had a lot of fun and the outputs have been rewarding. Of course, as it is was a workshop, we had to do plenty of exercises and at the end we get a documentation to take home.

    This year's AGM took place in Basel Zoo. What an inspiring location for an AGM. After we had the opportunity to have a look at the many inhabitants of the zoo, we were offered an aperitif at the end.

  • Summer-Drink at the Park Hyatt

    Katharina Plonka, Director of Sales & Marketing and Stephanie Scheiwiller, Senior Sales Manager of the Park Hyatt Zurich welcomed us warmly and cordially at the Park Hyatt Zurich.
    6 IMA Members and 3 prospective members have been treated with a luxury and delicious Apéro riche. We wre able to visit the hotel and the Presidential Suite and some meeting rooms.
    All of us really enjoyed the balmy summer evening and the lively discussion about IMA and everything and anything.

  • New Year's Event 2018

    This combinded Zurich / Zug New Year's event brought us on a chilly Wednesday evening to Schlieren.Besides the Bio-Technopark we could visit Vifor labs, workplace of our member Nicole Neumann.

    Thanks to Nicole, we had the unique opportunity to look at the different tools and instruments and questions from the lab staff, even having the chance to look at some cultivated cells under the micriscope.

  • Launch Event

    Ever wondered what what goes on behind the scenes of a fashionretailer? Ever imagined that astore would have more than 300'000 items in storage to be able to serve customers?

    We had the chance to take a closer look at C&A Zurich main store close to Bahnhofstrasse. The very knowledgeable store manager showed us around and answered all our questions from designing the store windows to the issue of shoplifters.

    And it was time to toast the furture of IMA. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  • Atelier Afterwork @ Coworking Voisins

    Anouk Silvestrini, IMA Switzerland PR Officer, organized the first afterwork training of the year at the Coworking Café Voisins Plainpalais, in Geneva.

    After a nice chat around drinks and tapas, the participants shared about two main topics:

    1. Assess your hard and soft skills and check which ones are the most suitable for your position.
    2. Minutes taking make easy by special tips to be perfectly well prepared.

    We also had a nice presentation of the coworking café by Julie Schmidt, Event Coordinator, who is willing to continue helping us hosting our events.

    We welcomed 4 people, 2 members and 2 non-members and we enjoyed their nice commitment and feedback. There were initially 6 registrations but 2 people could not join in the end.

    IMA new member Tina Karati has organized a lovely IMA evening where she had invited her own personal network to come and discover IMA.
    We hosted our invitees at Châteu d'Ouchy Lounge bar. Our Swoss Chairman Kelly.Jayne attended the afterwork-event to present and talk abou our network.

    We welcomed 9 persons - 3 members, 6 non-members and we gained 1 new member the day after and a potential business partner.

    As you can see from the picture we had a very pleasant moment. The view from the roof terrace of the Swiss Diamond Hotel in Vico Morcote was breathtaking, looking towards the village of Brusino Arsizio, Serpiano and the entire Monte San Giorgio region.
